For the time being Lil Wayne has one day down but so many more to go with his one year prison sentence. For now he remains in general population but it was said that his attorney Stacey Richman is requesting he be placed in protective custody because of his high public profile. Richman has quoted as saying, "I requested protective custody so that he may serve his time in peace." Dwayne Carter age 27 turned himself in on March 8th to begin his one year sentence which was due to his 2007 gun possession charge in which he pleaded guilty. With good behavior he may only due 8 months of his sentence. Along with releasing "The Rebirth" he also released a mixtape entitled "Gone Till November" which may the month that he is released.
