LT WRIGHT
HANDCRAFTED
KNIVES (GNS)
GO NO SHOW /DWX SHEATH
DWX (DEEP WOODS XPLORER)
THIS MONTH we are pleased to welcome a new contributor
to PMCI; Craig Reinolds spent some years in the military, then
law enforcement before finding a career in Fire Rescue, where
he recently retired as a fire fighter/ engineer/ paramedic. He
has been an avid outdoorsmen, hunter, tactical and sport gun
enthusiast for 30 years. This last year he has been field testing
firearms, tactical gear and equipment for SMG in the USA,
specialising in exposing weakness and/or maximizing practical
uses of every piece of gear that would be added to your kit.
I want to share my thoughts on the LT Wright Handcrafted
Knives, specifically the GNS scandi grind knife. When I opened
the box and looked at this knife, I was in front of my editor and
had to put it away. I was so blown away by this beautiful piece
of artwork that I held in my hand. I had to wait until I could let
the reality of what I was holding sink in.
When I got back to my office, I re-opened the box, pulled the
knife out of the sheath and let it tell me a story. The GNS was a
masterpiece of handcrafted o1 tool steel. It was an example of
professional craftsmanship. In relating the knife world to cars,
this was a stripped down racing version of a Ferrari. The knife
was clean, polished, sharp and the lines elegant but crisp. The
GNS specifications are as follows.

Now that we have the technicalities over lets back to this high
performance knife.
RAZOR SHARP!
The GNS is probably the sharpest knife out of the box I have
seen. The handle is pristine and the knife well balanced. The
90-degree spine is crisp and sharp. This was not a knife I
wanted to test; it was a knife I wanted to display. The handle
fit well in the hand. With the rounded pommel this knife could
comfortably be held in different positions, depending on the
task required.
