ust when you think you’ve covered off many of the
top manufacturers of tactical clothing and equipment
another one suddenly pops up on the radar! So it was
that my endless trawling of the tactical clothing reports
brought Slovenian UF PRO fully to my attention. UF PRO
are a company pushing the boundaries of design and
technology to the very edge of the envelope!
UF PROs parent company Uni & Forma was set up in
1997 with the vision to make high performance garment
systems for demanding professional end users. UF PRO
is the brand name chosen for the garments designed for
and used by both military and law enforcement special
operations units, where they are appreciated for their
comfort, performance, and durability.
The team at UF PRO certainly know what goes into a
great garment, not only in terms of innovative design and
practical functionality, but also in terms of high technology,
and high performance fabrics. Through strategic alliances
with other companies such as W L Gore & Associates,
Schoeller, Carinthia (G Loft), D30, and Cocona they have
access to many of the finest fabric technologies available
to the tactical user on the market.
Not only that, but they are constantly developing
their own technologies and design elements which are
of direct benefit to the user. Their FLEXZONE,

bring a unique twist to many of their garment models,

The team at UF PRO work on the premise that their
garments provide the interface between the wearer and
the environment in which they are worn, and that cut,
materials, workmanship and even colour can make a
huge difference. This is a mindset that they share with
many of the top manufacturers out there, and one that
they continually develop forward. They firmly believe
that an in depth understanding of the wearers needs and
the environment that they are operating in is essential to
making excellent clothing.
To this end the team at UF PRO work very closely indeed
with the end user to ensure that what they provide in a
total clothing system is going to 100% fit for purpose, and
not let the operator in the field down in any way, at
any time. Again, this shows a totally comprehensive
understanding of design, technology, and build quality in
everything that UF PRO do. For them it’s is all about the
end user, so whenever a new design comes into their
comprehensive range you can be assured it has been
through a lengthy test process to get there!
In addition to completely understanding design and
technology it must also be said that UF PRO really know
what they are on about in relation to effective camouflage
patterns; yes, they work with the traditional block colours,
but they also work with cutting edge patterns that give
their kit really unique feel.
They have started working with some of the PenCott
patterns, but they also work with the Multicam and the
new Slovenian SloCam pattern. When developing their
new combat uniforms the Slovenian military also came to
