Plastering Key facts Apprenticeship 18 months minimum duration Level 2 - Intermediate If you can work with your hands quickly and accurately, this apprenticeship provides the skills to apply different kinds of plaster to internal walls and ceilings so that they are ready for decorating. Qualifications Level 2 Diploma in Plastering Technical Certificate Functional Skills in English and maths, if required Employment Rights and Responsibilities (ERR) Qualified plaste rers can earn £25,000 plus per year with self-em ployed plasterers nego tiating their own rates. Typical units covered Conforming to general health, safety and welfare in the workplace Producing internal solid plastering finishes in the workplace Applying finishing plaster to background surfaces in the workplace Producing external solid render finishes in the workplace Entry requirements and who is it for? You must complete an initial assessment identifying prior learning and experience in order to ensure this apprenticeship is the correct pathway. You will also need to show enthusiasm, commitment and interest in the subject area.
