You mentioned that you recently were diagnosed with MS. How did you find
out and how has this affected your career?
After over a decade of mystery seizures, blindness, nausea, vomiting and intense pain,
I was diagnosed earlier this year with both MS and a rare spinal fluid pressure disorder.
After that I went through a very dark period but I now have clarity and focus. I was put
on this earth with a broken body to help others love theirs. I’ve had bad health problems
my whole life, so in a sense being restricted is part for the course for me but I was
always able to make a go of it. For example I’ve had seizures on stage (I’m also an opera
singer) but kept performing, as the show must go on. But these past 6 months I took a
break from both singing and modeling to get my health in order, which was devastating
but necessary. Now I’m back, baby!
Where do you see yourself in the next year?
I want to find a way to use my experiences to bring more awareness to body love and
health (especially for chronic illness sufferers). I want to continue to get high quality
paying work with fabulous colleagues and find people willing to accommodate me with
my physical restrictions. The sky is the limit!
