What role would you love to play/ be your dream role? JB: I would love to star as Phyllis Hyman in her biopic! I reached out to her estate manager Glenda in regard to it and she told me that it was in the works but that was 6 years ago, so who knows, may still be an obtainable dream! Producer Jermaine Smith on Jonelle: Jonelle took the role and ran with it. I encouraged her to try different things and not to conform with or how society and every other movie portrays nurses. She succeeded my expectations for an actor in their first movie. Kimberly M. Courts (Darlene) What was your first role? KMC: Dorothy in the Wiz at age 9 at Clifton Elementary KMC: I was a member of the Freddie Hendricks Youth Ensemble of Atlanta growing up. We had two shows that were tough but molded me into the actor that I am today. One show was called Rhymes and Reasons. In it I had to play a young girl that was raped continuously by her father, I was 12 years old and I was still playing with dolls so it was a tough thing. I researched and asked my parents to get me information on victims of molestation. I asked my director, Freddie Hendricks also helped me. I was able to cry on stage night after night because I was able to relate. I was never touched or molested, I had an AWESOME childhood. I was able to draw pain and frustration from those who had been through it. Being on stage every night was cathartic. #plusmodelmag What was my toughest role? plusmodelmag.com 4.16 then and I have been at it ever since. inspiration + style school in Decatur, Georgia....got bit by the acting bug
