Plumbing is more

We embrace the World Plumbing Day theme that plumbing is more .
World Plumbing Day ( WPD ) kicked off in 2010 , making this the 15th anniversary of the event . WPD is held on 11 March every year . The celebration of the day serves as a time to remind those around us of the vital work that plumbers do . how we can improve things . Take this time to also look within and to take care of yourself , especially mentally . Most people find it hard to admit that they are struggling mentally and emotionally – I include myself here .
There is a strong theme throughout this issue on the significance of WPD . In a sense , my view on WPD is a lot like my view on Valentine ’ s Day , in that every day should be Valentine ’ s Day . It is a cliché , but I will say it anyway to echo Steve Brown ’ s sentiments : every day should be World Plumbing Day , every day should be a day in which we see plumbing as ‘ more ’.
Because part of World Plumbing Day is education , let ’ s reach out to our communities , our families and friends , our clients and the people we come into contact with on a daily basis to tell them about how fundamental the work of plumbers is . Let them know the value of proper sanitation , the importance of access to clean drinking water and the affects this has on health and wellbeing .
We have something quite exciting and new for our readers this month as we introduce a new feature called Ask Coach Craig .
