JASWIC is an acceptance body created to promote the use of acceptable components in water and sanitation installations in the interest of water conservation , health , safety and the prevention of water pollution , to the mutual benefit of consumers , suppliers , water service authorities and water service providers and the promotion of efficiency in service delivery by cooperation and the exchange of information .
Currently the best on-site product compliance identification is the SABS Mark , which is placed on the product itself . This ensures that Building Control Officers , inspectors , purchasers etc have the assurance that the product complies with the National Standard .
