2
A concern has been raised regarding the installation photographs published in the February 2026 issue of Plumbing Africa, specifically relating to the compliance of the installation shown on the magazine’ s front cover and in its project article:‘ An industry united for one cause’.
The concerns raised relating to drainage: |
1. |
Insufficient cover over pipe. |
2. |
90 degree( short radius) bends at foot of stacks. |
3. |
Vent horn bends do not constitute a stub stack. |
4. |
No i. e. provided at highest point for testing. |
5. |
There appears to be underground drainage pipe used in an |
above ground application. |
We acknowledge the concern and take matters relating to compliance, industry standards, and professional installation seriously. We are currently engaging with the plumber responsible for the installation to confirm his qualifications and to establish full clarity on the work presented.
The matter is currently being investigated, and any further information will be reported on accordingly.
Plumbing Africa remains committed to presenting accurate, responsible, and industry-relevant content to its readers. PA
