What’ s in your toolbox?

By
Megan O’ Connor
We visited Burgess Plumbing and asked the teams of plumbers what their favourite tools are, and which tools in their toolboxes they simply cannot live without. This is part one of two in a series covering Burgess Plumbing. PA

Gerald, solar installer and plumber at Burgess Plumbing, loves his digital multimeter.“ It makes work easier – it tells me the DC electricity, the elements and the thermostat. It makes my life so much easier!”
Ogopoleng loves his gas pliers.“ It is so flexible – I can take out screws when I don’ t have a screwdriver, I can use it to take out some nuts, and I can use it to hammer something small if I don’ t have a hammer. You cannot do plumbing without it!”
Raymond Brown, manager at Burgess Plumbing, says his favourite tool on the job is his phone, which gives him on-the-go organisation and communication wherever he is.“ It helps me plan and has all of my to-do lists on it. I can also send emails when I’ m not in the office.”
