a clear demand for a platform where industry professionals could come together to discuss the issues shaping the future of plumbing in South Africa. Delegates were particularly eager to hear the keynote address by Hardin Ratshisusu, acting commissioner of the National Consumer Protection Commission, whose presentation offered valuable insight into consumer protection, regulatory compliance and the shared responsibility of industry stakeholders. The remaining speakers delivered equally insightful presentations, sharing practical expertise and valuable knowledge that broadened delegates ' understanding of important matters affecting the plumbing industry.
The Conference brought together a diverse audience of professional plumbers, manufacturers, importers, retailers, merchants, government departments, property management agencies, insurers, property developers, contractors and other industry role players. This broad representation encouraged collaboration, meaningful discussion and the exchange of ideas across the sector. Feedback from delegates, guests and speakers was overwhelmingly positive, with many commending the quality and relevance of the presentations and expressing a strong desire for future conferences of this calibre. PIRB is encouraged by this response and regards the Conference as a resounding success. We thank all speakers, guests and attendees, as well as Ariston, our Platinum Sponsor, and our collaborators in the Plumbing Indaba 2026, for contributing to the event’ s overall success.

Visitor testimonials“ I was invited through one of the expos that happened in Johannesburg. So now we are here and we have learned a lot. This is where you get to see what plumbing is and how we need to do plumbing. Plumbing is the backbone of our country and we need plumbing in our daily lives. So by visiting these events you get to learn what is in your house, how you can do it, where you can get it and you can even get details of how things work in plumbing.” – Kulani.
“ I’ m a plumbing student all the way from a college in Pretoria. Coming to this expo has been very enlightening – I got to learn a few things, see some cool materials and I’ m very pleased with my experience here.” – Bonolo. PA
