NEWS 9 NEWS 9 Industry loses Brian Bull It is with great sadness that we have lost another great legend in our industry: Brian John Bull, founder and owner of BB Enterprises. By the Bull Family It was with this move that he found his passion for working with his hands and inventing products that added to practicality of life. His mentor and manager at the time assisted him and his then wife, Jennifer, to start their own plastics engineering company – BB Enterprises. This new venture moved Bull into many different circles in our industry from making fume cupboards for labs to scrubbers for mines – from the chemical industry to breweries and finally to the plumbing industry. Bull was a gentleman and true friend to all he met and always made every- one feel welcome. He started his work journey as a tradesman in the South African Post Office. He then moved to Chemplast plastics and worked in the sales department there for numerous years, before being promoted to Sales Manager. Brian Bull Through sheer hard work, dedication and passion the business grew to where it eventually employed over 60 full-time employees and carried Bull and his family for 20 years. Along the way, Bull acquired Bricks and took over the manufacturing of the one- and two-way vent valves in South Africa. He was the inventor of the two-way dual flush front handle mechanism and was a great friend to Vaal Potteries, assisting with making small detailed components for their products. Brian you were a true friend, a gentleman and a caring, loving individual and your knowledge and passion will be missed. The family we would like to thank Plumbing Africa for placing this article.
