Nowadays, almost all air-conditioning, conveying, or exhausting
systems need monitoring of gas flow. Gas flow monitors are
required to have high reliability and minimal pressure loss. Kobold,
represented locally by Instrotech, has on offer to all users an optimal
solution with the flow monitor of the KAL-L series.
The KAL-L works according to the calorimetric principle. The sensor
is heated up to a few degrees above the medium temperature. It
features a measuring range of 1–20m/s air, accuracy of about 10%
of the reading, Pmax of 8 bar, tmax of 120°C, relay-output, no
moving parts, and negligible pressure loss.

Mechanical differential pressure measurement
Kobold, represented locally by Instrotech, offers a stainless steel diaphragm
differential pressure switch, type SCH-28, which works exceptionally well in harsh
industrial environments where dust and sludge are abundant.
In these robust and wear-free devices, pressure changes between two pressure
chambers are transferred via a metal diaphragm to a self-centering pivot. Stainless
steel bellows and PTFE seals ensure perfect sealing. Reliable functionality and a
high level of resistance to various aggressive mediums are achieved through tried
and tested mechanical system made of top-quality stainless steel. Both-side static
pressure levels of up to 25 bar and process temperatures of up to 100°C can easily
be tolerated.
