ARPL is the process through which individuals who have knowledge and experience in an industry , whether employed or unemployed can access the required trade test or qualification .
Cathy from AITF awarding Obed with his Trade Test certificate .
A successful project run by IOPSA through the approved IOPSA Colleges , saw one of the Water Amenities Sanitation Services Upgrading programme ( WASSUP ) members achieve his trade test certificate : Ramogoman Obed Kekae , a tireless worker for the WASSUP Group .
Now with a bursary from Plumbing Africa Journal , one of the WASSUP members , Junita Kgatla , starts her journey through the ARPL course to achieve full qualification . Plumbing Africa is delighted to be part of this vital programme in a small way , and will be following Junita ’ s progress with keen interest .
There are many people out there in similar positions that have experienced the practical side of plumbing and only through circumstances they have not been able to progress .

The aim of WASSUP is to support and run projects that provide tangible results within the areas of water and sanitation , by providing clean drinking water , improved groundwater quality and sanitation facilities in areas of the world that need it . PA
“ Such initiatives as this will go a long way to achieving genuine transformation in all aspects .”
