Cities such as Lagos, Cairo, and Kinshasa are already
considered ‘megacities’ with each having over 10 million
inhabitants. This rapid population growth is currently out of
kilter with the continent’s economic standing, with many
urban areas currently housing more people than the existing
infrastructure was designed to support.
