From our first meeting in October 2018 , it took almost two full years of close collaboration to develop the training that meets the ASSE 12080 Standard and helps both organisations better meet their shared mission of protecting water supply systems and the water they contain from Legionella and other pathogens . Throughout the process , the IAPMO team strove to ensure all efforts and decisions were made together and in the best interest of both parties . A special emphasis was placed on being very transparent , open , and honest and maintaining a partnership that was not only professional , but also friendly .
