Each apartment is fed from 22-diameter hot and cold piping ring mains on each floor to the plumbing duct or cupboard close to the kitchen , where inside there is a valve , strainer , water meter , pressure reducing valve and valve for the hot and cold pipes .
An on-board circulating pump on each heat pump distributes hot water to and from the storage tanks and controls the temperature of water at 60 ° C . The heat pumps are connected to essential power and include strainers at the inlet of the heat pumps to protect the internal heat exchanger , and balancing valves on the outlet for flow balancing purposes .
