Thousands of people have acquired various building skills at Tjeka Training Matters ’ state-of-the-art training centre in Randfontein , Gauteng , since it commenced operations in 2012 .
The company ’ s plumbing course remains the most popular of the many learning paths available at the facility . This is considering the major strides that have been made by the Institute of Plumbing South Africa ( IOPSA ) and the Plumbing Industry Registration Board in establishing a clear career path towards becoming a licensed plumber .
“ Considering the high demand for plumbers at present , there are more job opportunities available in the profession than most of the other building trades . In addition to the many people who are interested in securing employment in the industry . The course appeals to those individuals who are interested in freelancing the field or launching a small plumbing business . This is despite a relatively higher initial capital outlay for equipment than most of the other trades when starting a business ,” Frans Toua , Chief Executive Officer of Tjeka Training Matters , says .
Among others , Anglo Platinum , the Gauteng Department of Infrastructure and Development , the Department of Water
