New vehicle for sewer and
industrial cleaning and disposal Fischer SaMontec revolutionises architecture
and construction
Top performance, outstanding reliability, and
excellent design. The Elegance 2.0, now
distributed by Octopus Electronics, impresses with
modern looks as well as robust and dependable
technology. Decades of experience and cutting-
edge development work are perfectly matched in
this product line. It uses materials that unite low
weight and high resistance. SaMontec grids, supplied by Upat South Africa, come with universal channels,
brackets, connection and construction elements, as well as clamps and installation
accessories that provide a huge variety of combinations in one versatile solution.
Triplex plunger pumps are available for the
high-pressure system, and MORO KAISER vane
pumps or positive displacement blowers for
the vacuum system. The respective pumps are
located between the driver’s cab and the tank.
The components are hydraulically or mechanically
driven, depending on power requirements. This is
performed by means of the power take-off on the
carrier vehicle or a separate intermediate gearbox.
The system can be joined in such a way that it holds everything together on one
bracket. Being interlinkable and interchangeable, it enables all elements to connect
and disconnect easily.
Suitable for new buildings and subsequent installations, the system offers planners
and architects abundant opportunities for creativity, such as mounting lighting or
sound insulation elements on the grid. A bracket can be added to hold five water
pipes of 100mm each in diameter. If, in a few years’ time, additional elements are
required, these are easily added and the original parts can be re-used.
The systems are also often used in mining plants and shafts; in the construction
sector for service shafts, distribution of cables and ducting; and for the installation
of water pipes. In the latter, the grid is used for holding up cable tray ducting and
pipe work.
The well-conceived modular system allows the
configuration of a broad spectrum of vehicles,
from the compact two-axle vacuum vehicle
to the top-of-the-range four-axle combination
vehicle. The option of side-mounted water tanks
in polyethylene or chrome steel enables the tank
layout to be optimally adapted to the needs of the
individual customer. This means it requires a combination of brackets, corner pieces, and angle pieces,
along with cantilevers, sliding components, refrigerant pipe clamps, and sprinkler
loops, among other mechanisms. These not only provide robust support, but enable
optimal agility under wet and dry conditions.
Vehicle operation has been designed with a focus
on simple handling. A wide range of additional
options as well as different suction boom versions,
various jetting hose reels, or ADR/ATEX, round off
the Elegance series. This solution is for all industries across various load-bearing capacities, meaning
that it covers everything from light buildings to heavy-duty mining facility grid
systems. Suitability for all environmental conditions has seen the use of SaMontec
in containerised water-treatment plants for the mounting of treatment equipment.
Interchangeable components are available in various materials, from stainless steel
to titanium plated, zinc plated, galvanised, and hot dip galvanised stainless steel,
which is part of the attraction.
Upat also provides full aftermarket service and support.
