“ The decision was taken to retain the ROFO brand , due to their quality being synonymous with the stainless steel and grease trap market in South African . The ACO brand stands for professional drainage and wastewater treatment systems . The range includes drainage channels and floor drains , oil and grease separators , manhole covers , roof drainage systems , and stainless steel pipes ,” says Cassol .
The ACO Group was founded in 1946 in Rendsburg , Büdelsdorf ( Germany ), and is still a family business . Its commitment to intense research and development and its technical expertise in producing stainless steel , polymer concrete , plastic , and cast iron products place ACO as a strong global partner . ACO Systems South Africa was established in 2012 to further develop the sub-Saharan market and it continues to invest in the African market with the acquisition of ROFO , its 31st worldwide production plant . Jovo Bardak , founder and former owner of ROFO Engineering , is appointed as the operations director at ACO South Africa . He started the venture in stainless steel drainage by establishing the ROFO brand in 1987 after a period in Chicago , US , and with a great deal of passion and effort created the history of ROFO .
The merged company will continue building relationships with the engineers and the designers , and it will still offer technical support to the contractors in the food and beverage , processing , and industrial kitchen sectors , focussing on the construction and mining industries . PA
