Editor ’ s Comment IAPMO must be commended on this initiative . What an ideal way to convey a few messages about sanitation to the young , highlighting women in trades , showing the different aspects of plumbing / sanitation and just a great idea all round !

World Plumbing Conference , Shanghai

After many postponements due to Covid-19 and China ’ s strict lockdown , the conference is up and running .
It is committed to creating a high-end platform for one-stop environmental technology exchanges in politics , industry , academia and research .
The World Plumbing Conference 2023 , in conjunction with Shanghai International Exchange Seminar on Water Supply and Drainage Equipment , Technology , will be held in Shanghai , China from 17-20 October 2023 .
With the theme of ‘ Greener , Smarter , Safer ’, the conference launched multi-angle and all-around in-depth exchanges considering the new trends and characteristics of the global water supply and drainage industry in the post-epidemic era .
Based on the Four Pillars of Plumbing , the conference promises to fill in the gap since the 2019 conference last held in Melbourne , Australia .
The theme points to the way plumbing is at present and how it will develop in protecting the health and safety of nations . PA
