P&G water month
campaign purifies over a
million litres of water
In celebration of Water Day and Water Week
in March, Procter & Gamble (P&G), through
its Children’s Safe Drinking Water Programme
(CSDW), set out to purify 500 000 litres of water
in South Africa.
P&G surpassed its target and it has purified over 1.2 million litres of water. Sales director,
Norbert Combalat, says they are delighted with the results. “We need to make it a
campaign, ensuring it happens every year.” With entertainer ProVerb as the South African
ambassador, they went all around the country educating people on how to use the purifier.
The company is working with the Gift of the Givers Foundation to locate vulnerable areas that could
benefit from the water purifier.
