EVENTS AND EXHIBITIONS 19 Successful AGM for CDAA The Copper Development Association Africa (CDAA) held its annual general meeting (AGM) at the association’s offices in Wadeville, Germiston in May. By Cherry Ellis Levine Warries, centre director, introduced the executive chairman, Evert Swanepoel, who officially opened the meeting and welcomed all members, media training centres and, in particular, Vusi Manzi from the Department of Trade and Industry, as well as Helena Tripmaker and Louis Pienaar from the South African Revenue Service. Some of the exhibitions and expos still to take place this year include ICAN in Cape Town and PLUMBDRAIN Africa in August at the Nasrec Expo Centre in Johannesburg. The CDAA and some of its members will exhibit at these exhibitions as well. Ten-year membership award certificates were ahanded out at the CDAA meeting.
