“ Vollie Brink was passionate about the design and installation of wet services in buildings . He was an active member in the various SABS committees which engaged in the water and drainage installations in buildings ( SANS 10252 ), fire installation ( SANS 10400-W ) and the numerous plumbing and pipe standards . He was invariably the oldest member of the committee and as such always urged committees to get the standards concluded and published while he still drew breath . He not only participated in the development of standards , but also actively shared and transferred his knowledge regarding the application of these standards within the engineering and plumbing community . His enthusiasm and passion for quality wet services in buildings will be sorely missed .” Dr Ron Watermeyer .
