course , the selection of the camera will depend on the quality one is looking for as there are basically five types of leaks for a pin hole ranging up to the ‘ flood ’ leak . Each with their varying water losses potential a lower image camera may well miss the smaller leaks but continue to lose water . Leaking water as we know will go to the weakness point which may well be the furthest point thus taking time to manifest itself . So , again quality is the critical point when dealing with videos and cameras .
Threading The threaded pipes used in some plumbing installations for the delivery of gases or liquids under pressure have a tapered thread that is slightly conical ( in contrast to the parallel sided cylindrical section commonly found on bolts and leadscrews ). The seal provided by a threaded pipe joint depends upon multiple factors : the labyrinth seal created by the threads ; a positive seal between the threads created by thread deformation when they are tightened to the proper torque ; and sometimes on the presence of a sealing coating , such as thread seal tape or a liquid or paste pipe sealant such as pipe dope . Tapered thread joints typically do not include a gasket .
Especially precise threads are known as ‘ dry fit ’ or ‘ dry seal ’ and require no sealant for a gas-tight seal . Such threads are needed where the sealant would contaminate or react with the media inside the piping , for example , oxygen service .
Freezing Pipe freezing is ideal when replacing radiators , removing obsolete pipes , or installing additional branches and valves . By freezing and creating an ice plug within a pipe , it prevents an entire system from having to be emptied – saving installers valuable time . Freezing can be achieved on steel pipe up to 2 '' and copper up to 54mm . Certainly useful in mining and where large high production operations cannot really afford downtime .

HDPE is a material that is joined by a butt-welding hydraulic process for high pressure installations from 63mm to 1.2mm diameter . Low pressure welding tools are also available . Some pipe supply companies have their own proprietary tools , but others use the generic tool available in the market .
Another process is electrofusion for high pressure applications .
