Wall Of ShamE Some say innovation, some say clever thinking, and sometimes we just don’t know any better, but it is still non-compliant and carries risk for the installer, the client, and possibly anyone else in the direct area. Most of us will be baffled by the images on this page, but why do we still see installations like these? These two geysers were installed incorrectly. Inlet and outlet must be on the bottom and top and not on the sides. This means that they actually have half of the hot water capacity available. This was done wrong in so many ways! www.plumbingafrica.co.za @plumbingonline @plumbingonline Bath mixer installed with flexi pipe connectors. Should have had 2x female fittings inside with the offset extensions fitting into the female fittings. This mixer will never be solid and will always fall out! This geyser has no valves, vacuum breakers or any copper pipes around it installed. Also a huge mishap of an installation! @PlumbingAfricaOnline January 2020 Volume 25 I Number 11
