This is underlined by the fact that well over half of all the pipelines worldwide used for water, sewage, and gas distribution are constructed with plastic pipe. Pipe designs must be carried out by properly qualified persons who have specific experience in the design, detailing, specification, construction, quality control, commissioning, operation, repair, and maintenance of piping systems. For this reason, we have strived to ensure that all the information contained in this publication is verified and accurate.” PA IOPSA KZN golf day: another spectacular event The annual Mike Drake Memorial was held at the Royal Durban Golf Club last year. By IOPSA We were honoured to have Malcolm Harris from Harscan as our MC for the day. The prizegiving was handled by Gary Chandler and Marc Sheppard of Plumblink. Despite a day of cold, wet, and windy conditions, there surely was some hot golf and lots of beverages to stave o ff the effects of the weather. IOPSA KZN would just like to thank all our sponsors, players, and participants in making this a memorable day. We wish to congratulate the fourball winners, Team Speedfit, as well as the winning plumber, Keith Botha. Congratulations to Kwikot for their enthusiastic tee box! Thanks goes to Bianca Brown for organising another spectacular event; this is certainly not an easy task, but she once again pulled it off without a hitch. We would further like to thank the KZN committee for their efforts and support, as well as Steve Brown, who is always cracking the whip. The winners of the day. January 2018 Volume 23 I Number 11 We look forward to next year for a bigger and better relaxed day of golf and fun. PA www.plumbingafrica.co.za
