New roles driving change

Electrolux ’ s acquisition of Kwikot some years ago has seen changes aimed at consolidating the organisation to achieve OneStrategy – OneTeam – OneCulture .
Whilst change is ongoing , the implementation of the above is now a reality . Murray Crow , managing director , explains the reasoning behind the restructuring .
“ We have had feedback from a number of stakeholders , shareholders , customers , suppliers and employees to drive the consolidation from a bottom-up perspective rather than a top down . It is important to align the structures of the Electrolux Business strategy and structural blueprint which includes improving the management and control of processes to mitigate risk .
We have centralised Internal sales and service as a start . The end effect is to fast-track change management within Electrolux South Africa combining the teams into the consolidation and eliminate the silo effect and improve teamwork and accountability .
The aim of the restructuring is to create outstanding consumer experiences and strengthen after sales and emerging market growth . Internally we will strengthen cross functional teamwork through change management to drive stronger culture alignment within the Electrolux team .
Mitigating risk through segregation of duties , authority and standardised procedures and management authorisation lines .
Through increased efficiencies and sales business effectiveness we decrease cost ,” stated Murray .
Murray continued , “ For the sake of Plumbing Africa readers we will focus on the structure for the ‘ Water Care ’ division which includes geysers , solar and energy efficient water products .
Heading up the sales team is Felicity Sheridan who has been with Kwikot for 30 years ,
