What to expect from ISH 2017

ISH, the world’ s leading trade fair for the bathroom experience, building services, energy, HVAC technology, and renewable energies, takes places again from 14 to 18 March 2017 in Frankfurt, Germany.

Along with the exhibitors’ product innovations, ISH offers a wide and varied complementary programme, dealing with all the current developments in the sector. Specialist lectures with examples of best practice, dedicated displays, panel discussions, competitions, and guided tours offer visitors the opportunity to obtain information, discuss issues, and network.
The motto of ISH 2017 is‘ Water. Energy. Life’, which clearly shows where the focus of the world’ s leading trade fair is and, in particular, where the keystones are located. With its broad spectrum of future-orientated building services technology, the biennial trade fair offers a host of solutions meeting current political and economic demands.
The ISH Water section focuses on sustainable sanitation and innovative bathroom design, and in 2017 will be held under the slogan‘ Bathrooms for People’, whereby particular attention will be paid to different aspects, such as design, health, wellness and comfort, as well as resource conservation and drinking water hygiene. Exhibitors in this section present environmentally friendly, design-orientated bathroom solutions revolving around not only the latest design developments, but also sustainable technology meeting modern needs.
At the end of June 2016, Turkey was unanimously chosen as the Partner Country of ISH 2017 by the organiser, Messe Frankfurt, and the ISH conceptual partners.“ With this decision, we have taken account of the increasing significance of Turkey at ISH on both the exhibitor and visitor levels,” says Wolfgang Marzin, president and CEO of Messe Frankfurt. Five per cent of Turkish exports come from the sanitation, heating, and air-conditioning sectors. The international desire to achieve climate targets and the strategic significance of energy autarky are just two reasons for a strong market.
Pop-up my bathroom In the Trend Forum,‘ Pop-up my bathroom’, organised by the Association of the German Sanitation Industry( Vereinigung Deutsche Sanitärwirtschaft, or VDS), will display various models for planning individual bathrooms. Bathrooms, today, are as individual as the

people who plan them, both in terms of their functionality and their aesthetics.
This will be a demonstration of how— with the help of the specialist trades, bathroom planners and the industry— each user can create their own bathroom to suit. Thus, on the one hand, there are solutions for all possible built-in bathrooms, in all conceivable versions and variations, as well as individually adaptable systems for bathroom furniture and equipment. Conversely, individual notions can be realised using the bits and bobs of taps and fittings, lighting and sound systems.
An integral part of the Trend Show is the lecture series entitled‘ Pop-up my bathroom atelier’. It serves as a central rendezvous point for communication with others. Visitors are provided with masses of inspiration and suggestions through informative talks and fascinating discussion groups. The Trend Forum is to be held for the first time in the Saal Europa in Hall 4.0.
Bathroom Workshp The special show‘ Bathroom Workshop – we present the future!’, organised by VDS in co-operation with Messe Frankfurt, is a new attraction aimed particularly at the plumbing, heating, and air-conditioning trades.
