The two international conferences have been arranged,
side by side to provide an extensive range of events for the
plumbing and building industries over one full week.
The CIBW062 Symposium ‘Water Supply and Drainage
for Buildings’ is held by the International Council for
Research and Innovation in Building and Construction
(CIB). The symposium focuses on water supply and
drainage for buildings, rainwater efficiency, sustainability
and climate change.
The 12th Triennial World Plumbing Conference is held
by the World Plumbing Council with local host the
Plumbing Industry Climate Action Centre. The conference
provides the global plumbing community an opportunity
to come together for knowledge sharing, networking and
professional development.

The conference will focus on the four pillars of plumbing:
participation, practices, products and protection. “The
World Plumbing Conference 2019 is part of the Council’s
commitment to achieving the best possible plumbing
for the world through growth and development of the
plumbing industry.
“The Conference is an opportunity to share knowledge that
will assist in future planning for the industry and we hope by
the end of the event we will see a revitalised and inspired
global plumbing community,” said Shayne La Combre,
Chairperson of the World Plumbing Council.
“The CIBW62 working group meets each year to report
on research and new findings in the field of water supply
and drainage for buildings. It is the primary international
forum for presentation of research-related outputs, industry
developments and improvements in standardisation. Given
the natural synergies, I am delighted that we are able to offer
delegates a chance to attend both the CIBW62 symposium
and the World Plumbing Conference in Melbourne in
September,” added Lynne Jack, Chairperson of CIBW62
Working Group. PA
