Over the past few months, IOPSA has had to deal with complaints from across the country about plumbing water reticulation systems that do not function correctly. In most cases, these issues are only noticed post- occupation and the problems in terms of flow rate are then brought to the fore. Often, rectification of the system is costly and as we experienced in one such complaint, legal action was taken. In many instances, the design of the water reticulation system is left to the plumber, who is not competent to design. the complex and residents at risk.
