Strategy 2025 : An IOPSA / PIRB initiative
The fourth part of the Strategy 2025 initiative is driving growth for the future . This establishes a focus on technology and the opportunities presented by technology .
The position to take will be a thought leader and providing resources and training tools that are realistic and action orientated to assist companies and the broader industry to take advantage of the opportunities .
An essential and critical aspect will be to support and encourage small business to grow and succeed . Part of the growth for the industry will be to explore and share new trends in technical skills , new technology and global plumbing best practice , especially in the green sector . This focus includes keeping abreast and ahead , if possible , of leadership skills .
These will enable IOPSA to become a strategic player in green technology and water risk management , which in turn will position the industry as leaders as well .
Three clearly identified projects are established to achieve this pillar : 1 . The ‘ Future Office ’ Function a . Research which will relate to all matters where research plays a critical part in the industry , this will include commissioning , distribution , and partnerships with suitable organisations . b . Focused training and resources around and including new technology and future orientated CPD courses . c . Full involvement and participation , attendance , hosting and co-hosting conferences , seminars , and such , to learn and share with kindred bodies and organisations .
2 . Develop and grow with international bodies seeking partnerships as well as IOPSA / PIRB being seen and heard as the authoritative voice of the future .
3 . The above , in turn , will enable us to add value to serving members and growing the plumbing industry enabling business growth through support and mentorship programmes to drive inclusion and development to the benefit of the industry .
Whether as a Body or an individual member of the plumbing industry , driving growth requires moving from the status quo and moving upwards through upskilling , ongoing education , involvement
“ An essential and critical aspect will be to support and encourage small business to grow and succeed .”
