Go for Gold would like to partner with companies in any the following ways: 1. Funding: Go for Gold appreciates contributions towards the Phase 1 programme delivery in all regions. Phase 1 is where opportunity begins for our beneficiaries. In Phase 1, Go for Gold supplies tuition in Mathematics and Science to Grade 11 and Grade 12 learners to assist them in reaching a bachelor pass; provides transport from homes to campuses; and provides an orientation camp, food, books, stationery, site visits to construction sites, interviews with partner companies, career guidance sessions, life skills, and computer training.
2. Partner company: For Phase 2, companies come on board as a partner company for Phase 2 students to receive on-the-job training for their experiential gap year. All that is needed is to provide a general worker salary to the student and to give them maximum exposure to the company’ s operations. Go for Gold covers an extension bridging programme and leadership development seminars throughout the year.
3. Bursary: Companies assist Go for Gold and its students through the provision of bursaries for students entering Phase 3 of the programme.
All of the above are purely optional, as each area of support may provide a unique opportunity to fulfil the company’ s human capital and / or community support objectives.
Tax and B-BBEE sponsorship benefits to partnering companies In Go for Gold’ s experience, partner companies have sourced the funding to support the programme from two resources directly to impact positively on their B-BBEE scorecard points, namely their corporate social investment budgets, and / or their skills development budget.
Go for Gold is a registered NPO and PBO and it will provide tax receipts for all financial donations received. PA
