Celebrating the 40th Anniversary
of Our Agricultural Reserve!
As supply chains across the US are impacted by COVID-19,
preserving Montgomery County’s Agricultural Reserve is more
important than ever. Maintaining farmland not only ensures a
strong regional food and fiber supply, it controls public service
costs and addresses environmental challenges by curbing urban
sprawl, conserving energy, and reducing greenhouse gases.
This summer, many local farms have on-line ordering with nocontact
pick-up and delivery and extra public-health precautions
in place for a safe pick-your-own experience. Our farmers
markets and roadside stands remain open for business. Visit
our website and farm to table page for more information.
