Melanie Choukas-Bradley’s newest book, Resilience—Connecting With Nature in a Time of
Crisis, offers many creative ways to help us through our current crisis by deepening our connection
with nature close to home, as forest bathers, backyard birders and naturalists, gardeners and
foragers. Several residents of the Ag Reserve share their own advice and wisdom in the pages of
this informative book, which can be read in a single sitting. Melanie is the author of two books
about Sugarloaf Mountain, illustrated by Barnesville artist Tina Thieme Brown. Tina also illustrates
Melanie’s forthcoming book due out this summer: Finding Solace at Theodore Roosevelt Island.
