Tina Thieme Brown’s art captures the forms, colors and
details found in the pastoral landscape surrounding
Sugarloaf Mountain. Drawn to the wild wooded hedge-
rows and forests, patchwork farmland and rustic roads
in the Ag Reserve, her art process starts by recording
observations in her sketchbook. She then develops
those sketches into larger drawings and paintings. This
pattern has informed her botanical drawings, landscape
paintings and prints for the last 30 years, revealing a
deep connection to the complex natural world.
