SOS Gives an Assist to Breast Cancer Awareness
The Stories Of Success (SOS) 2017 CLUTCH Invitational Tournament was hosted in the month of October
(Breast Cancer Awareness Month). The tournament was correspondingly seen as a forum to raise awareness to
the subject of Breast Cancer. In line with this, the competing SOS U17 and U21 teams were outfitted in Breast
Cancer Awareness inspired uniforms acquired through the assistance of Guardian Asset Management. Speaking
on the Academy’s awareness activities, SOS Head Coach, Kern George, explained, “While we may not be directly involved in breast
cancer research, activities such as this help to make people more conscious of the issue.” He continued by saying “If our involvement
can work to inspire mothers, sisters, and friends to learn more about the associated risk factors and preventative measures surrounding
breast cancer, we would feel a sense of satisfaction.” Some key results were as follows –
Invitational Final Results: U17 - SOS (33) v Maloney Pavers (24)
U17 MVP - Jadon Daniel (SOS)
U21 - SOS (39) v Maloney Pavers (70).
U21 MVP - Ahkeem Boyd (Maloney Pacers)
