Shihan Springer conducts successful course in USA
Shihan Lex Springer ( 6th Dan), member of the World United Karate Organization (WUKO)
Referee Commission conducted a very successful referee workshop for the USSSA Karate Program in Winter Park, Florida from September 18th to 19th 2015.
The candidates were exposed to terminologies, hand gestures, ring control, scoring criteria, charting, protocol and the general rules.
Other groups have already asked for his return in early 2016. Adrian Ellis, USSSA Karate President was very pleased with course and so was the WUKO.
Shihan (Master Teacher) Springer is also the Chairman of the Trinidad and Tobago Karate Federation (TTKF) Referee Council and the Pan American United Karate Organization (PUKO) Refer-
ee Council.
Darryl Williams, WUKO Referee Coordinator assisted Springer with explaining the rules
to the candidates. They both have over thirtythree years’ experience as karate officials .
