Welcome to Montgomery County’s Agriculture Reserve, our land of “Plenty.” The pages of this new maga-
zine, to be published spring, summer, and fall, are the next best thing to visiting the Reserve yourself. You
can pick your own berries in the spring, take home peaches and apples in the summer, and buy a pumpkin
straight from the patch in the fall. Drive or cycle rustic roads past pasturing horses, cattle, and sheep, and
rolling acres of wheat, corn, and orchards. Relax at a winery, climb Sugarloaf Mountain, hike the verdant
trails of parkland such as Little Bennett, Black Hill, and Little Seneca Creek. Watch a polo match or the
Potomac Hunt. If you own or borrow a horse there are trails and special parks for both of you.

Montgomery County. Artwork by Tina Thieme Brown.
