Operating from 1947 to 1981 , the club hosted numerous iconic musicians , from Ray Charles and Fats Domino , to Little Richard , James Brown and Etta James .
Slated for 6-11 p . m . on Saturday , June 17 , at the Bethesda Blues & Jazz Club , the event will feature Black musical artists , local residents , and other dignitaries for an evening of dining , dancing , and memories .
