Gallery and the Pavilions , so many renowned artists are on display that the wooded oasis on Glen Road in Potomac , Maryland , is a must-see destination for art aficionados around the globe .
For local visitors , however , I have long considered the landscape to be perhaps the biggest masterpiece of all . I am biased , of course . Now serving as the museum ’ s Director of Environmental Stewardship , I have had the privilege of working directly with landscape architect Adam Greenspan of PWP Landscape Architects , our grounds superintendent Matt Partain , and a talented team of so many others to help bring the “ serene and contemplative ” aspect of Glenstone ’ s mission to life . The design goal prior to the museum ’ s 2018 expansion was simple , yet grand : to regenerate the trees , shrubs , water , and soil to a natural state of harmony with nature .
