It ’ s time to take a long walk out in nature and breathe in some fresh and sparkling spring air after our cold and snowy winter . And with any luck , this issue of PLENTY will get you motivated ! For inspiration you ’ ll discover things to plant , birds to see , tours to take , CSA markets to join , and roads to travel in our marvelous Agricultural Reserve .
Last year was a tough one on so many fronts , and yet there was a lot of positive news and things to be grateful for . At PLEN- TY we have been incredibly grateful for all our advertisers who have stayed with us through thick and thin ; for our enthusiastic and talented contributors who share their insight , experiences and photography ; and for you , our readers , so many of whom tell us you read the magazine cover to cover . Here is a compliment from one reader that really tickled us :
“ Plenty and Scientific American ( to the extent I can understand the latter ) are the two magazines I read cover to cover . Julie and I love your work .”
~ al wurglitz
For us , PLENTY has been all about the joy of diving into and sharing the stories that abound in these parts , and in so doing , nurturing a natural advocacy in our community for the preciousness of this land , its farms , forests , water , soil , wildlife , farm animals , and all the folks who love and uphold this special place .
