www . riverworksart . org n Created bright and inviting classroom and studio space amidst an inspirational sculpture garden setting at Alden Farms in the Ag Reserve n Partnered with 10 Associate Artists who provided Riverworks with critical expertise , teaching and support n Created over a dozen classes and workshops designed to create unique experiences for self-expression through art and nature n Was granted 501 ( c )( 3 ) status on July 26 , 2022 n Presented six “ Artist in the House ” gallery shows featuring Sydney Therriault , Taina Litwak , Ann Neslen and Kim Yourick , Sarah Matthews , Susan Due Pearcy , Marcie Wolf-Hubbard n Established the Storyteller Series :“ Harriett Tubman : A Journey to Freedom ,” “ Artmaking for Life : the Personal is Political ,” and “ Haunted Histories of the Ag Reserve ” n Held our first Dinner for the Arts at Bally Cliff Farm in October which blew past our wildest dreams of community support , attendance and fun n Presented FREEDOM , The African American History and Culture Community Roundtable Project that culminated in a moving , interactive discussion and exhibit featuring the powerful artwork made by participants n Held Festivals / Open Houses , like “ A Taste of Riverworks ,” to foster strong connections in our community n Purchased Poolesville ’ s old historic Methodist Church to be transformed into a Performing Arts Center n Was granted $ 200k from the Maryland General Assembly for the Performing Arts Center
