Vineyard is a new on-farm winery in Montgomery County’ s Agricultural Reserve. Our first vintage was 2020, and our tasting room doors opened in October 2021. We offer dry wines grown and produced on our farm, including Carbernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Savignon, Chardonnay, Albarino and Chardonel. Enjoy our wine tastings and flights, by the glass or bottle. Some snack items are available, including charcuterie.

Community Food Assistance( CFA) Grant Program beginning this fall, expanding access to operational funding for food recovery organizations. The Fiscal Year 2025 CFA Grant Program currently supports 49 food assistance providers across the County, and by providing flexibility in the next iteration of the program regarding the use of grant funds for staffing, transportation, storage and other operating costs, the County hopes to encourage more effective and cost-efficient food recovery practices that will increase the amount of food that partners have available for distribution to their clients.
KPC Buddhist Relief, a current CFA grantee located in Poolesville, distributes food and other essentials to residents experiencing hardships. The organization has been creatively leveraging food recovery to supplement the food items purchased with CFA grant funds.
“ We have been looking for ways to procure produce, cultural foods and the other pantry items we provide, as the CFA grant received last year supports just a portion of the work that we do,” said Dara Tokarz, community partnerships and grants manager for KPC Buddhist Relief.“ Distributing food rescued through alliances with So What Else and Trader Joe’ s has been one way to do that, allowing us to provide our partners with more food while helping us to maximize our grant funding by spending less of it each month.”
