Foot Locker Arrives in Hong Kong
Leading athletic retailer Foot Locker has opened its latest
Power Store in Kowloon, officially marking its much-
anticipated launch into Hong Kong. The three-story space
is home to a House of Hoops concept shop, celebrating
basketball culture and offering a premium selection of
sneakers and apparel from Nike and Jordan. The store also

The Investor Education Centre (IEC), an organisation dedicated to
improving financial literacy in Hong Kong, recently ran an online
shopping survey to investigate the attitude and behaviour of Hong
Kong consumers who shop online. Data was collected through
online interviews with 500 adults aged 18 to 54 years. The survey
found that 68 per cent of online shoppers believe that online
shopping leads to impulse purchases. Fifty-sevens per cent say
they are more prone to unnecessary buys, with this behaviour
more evident in women and youngsters. Thirty-one per cent claim
they have difficulty saving money because of online shopping.
The Top three reasons cited for unnecessary spending online:
convenience (71 per cent), online promotions (56 per cent) and the
