New Tales of the Ming Treasure Voyages T he registration phase for schools has now closed. We are now inviting all registered students to start creating and submitting their written, and artistic pieces under the theme – New Tales of the Ming Treasure Voyages. There is still plenty of time to get your submissions in as the deadline is 18th January 2019. The HKYWA team wants to thank all the schools from Hong Kong, China, and Macau that have registered for the Hong Kong Young Writers Awards 2019. For literary categories, each registered teacher can submit a total of 10 entries across the 3 categories. For students with different learning abilities, each registered teacher can submit 10 entries in each of the 6 individual categories for literary work. There is a separate category for cover art. Only Primary and Different Learning Abilities schools can also submit 10 entries in each of the 2 cover art groups. The winning entry will tbe he the cover of the anthology. Each student can only submit either literary or cover art entries. The HKYWA team has been compiling inspirational material on this year’s topic from a variety of modern and historical sources.
