Principal: Ms. Pancy Li Yuet Sheung Description: Our teachers are very experienced. They are all qualified
teachers and registered with the Hong Kong Education Bureau. We offer
Lower Kindergarten, Upper Kindergarten and Primary One classes. All of
our classes are taught in English only. We offer at least two school outings
per year, holiday events and an outdoor playground that are intended to
reinforce our “learn through play” learning philosophy. Our main goal is
to provide a positive learning experience for our pupils and to set a strong
foundation for their future education.
Description: This is an English Medium Kindergarten founded in 1998 and
belongs to “The Catholic Diocese of Hong Kong”. Our Vision is to make
St. Teresa’s Kindergarten an extension of the home, where a child feels
comfortable in learning and interacting with other children.

Curriculum: Starters School curriculum is based on the UK early childhood
curriculum in accordance with Hong Kong child-centred approach settings.
Starters Curriculum guidelines are used by Starters School staff with the
general purpose to develop, to review and to promote effective teaching
and learning.

Frequency and Duration of Mandarin Classes: 20 minutes per class, 2
classes per day and 4 days per week.
Age students begin to learn Mandarin as Second Language:
Mandarin Curriculum: Focuses on teaching children to develop good oral
speaking skills in Mandarin. The daily Mandarin activities are inter-related around
themes and consist of songs, games, stories and other creative activities.
Features: Home based school, Catholic core values, bilingual environment,
learning through play, real-life themes and integrated approach.
Facilities: Art room, music and multifunctional room, indoor and outdoor
playground and planting areas.

Admission: Parents can apply their child to join St. Teresa’s Kindergarten by
filling out an application form via the school website or at our school. After
which the school will contact the aforementioned parent to arrange for them
to visit the school to get better understanding of our school.
Parents: To aid and promote learning among children, parents are
encouraged to participate and help during school activities and outings.
