Description: Established in 2005 for students aged one to 18, the
British School of Guangzhou has gained popular recognition for
academic excellence, quickly becoming the largest international
school in Guangzhou. As part of Nord Anglia Education, the school

schools and on-going collaborations with the Juilliard School, New
York and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Description: Utahloy International School Guangzhou (UISG) was
established in 1997 specifically for expatriate children. It aims to provide a
high standard of international education for children aged 2 to 18 years. The
school has grown extensively and now caters to more than 800 students
from 50 countries.

Inspection: Council of International Schools & Nord Anglia Education. Admission: Once a completed application form and necessary documents
have been received, applicants are screened by admissions staff for
acceptance and for grade-level placement. Once a place becomes available
for your child, you will be sent an offer letter.

Admission: International passport holders only (includes Hong Kong
and Macau). Students are assessed prior to entry to establish ability
to successfully access the curriculum within the correct year group.
Depending on the age of the student, assessments are based on
interviews, in-class assessments and/or Oxford placement tests.

Parents: Parent Support Groups (PSGs) are in place and an
established feedback programme that includes annual surveys for
both parents and students in all year groups.
Accreditations: UISG is accredited by the Council of International Schools
(CIS) and Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). It is also
authorised by the International Baccalaureate to provide the IB Primary
Years, Middle Years and Diploma Programmes.

University Information: Comprehensive University counselling is
provided to students aspiring to attend colleges and universities all over
the world. UISG is a SAT examination centre and we provide PSAT and
SAT registration and examinations, as well as assistance with the college
application process. Students will be provided with regular opportunities
and exposure to meet with University admissions representatives, to
understand expectations and career opportunities.
University Information: In 2018, 50% of graduates gained places
at the world’s top 100 universities. Destinations chosen include the
UK, USA, Australia, Korean, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia,
Switzerland and The Netherlands.
