Description: Aoi Pui School is a registered charitable school specially
catered for students with Autism. Founded in 2007 by overseas Autism
experts, the first model of autism-specific school in Hong Kong has
incorporated over 30 years of research and expertise. The school adopts
the UK national curriculum and teaches specific Autism deficit skill areas
which include school readiness skills, language and communication, social
skills, behaviour management, emotion regulation and more. Description: Bridge Academy Education Centre is a government approved
educational institute located in Sheung Wan. It provides comprehensive
early intervention and academic programmes for children with learning
difficulties aged 2 and above. The children we support have a wide
spectrum of challenges including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD),
Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Global Developmental Delay, Downs Syndrome,
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), as well as a variety of
learning difficulties.

Curriculum: UK School curriculum with Autism-specific guidelines.
Other Languages Available: Cantonese.
Features: Small class size of 8 and classroom learning with individual
focus. Every student has an individualised educational plan that identifies
specific monthly target goals in areas of social skills, academic readiness,
organisation skills, school readiness, community readiness, behaviour,
emotion regulation, self-help, different language subjects, and core
subjects such as Science and Maths. There are monthly parent meetings
with student video reviews and performance data analysis. When a student
is ready to transit to other placement, a school transition programme will be
in place.
Curriculum: British National Curriculum, Early Years Foundation Stage
with Individualised Education Programme. Programmes available include;
Pre-School, Intensive ABA Programme, Social Skills Programme, Speech
Therapy, Physical Therapy, Arts Therapy, Assessment Services and
Parent Training.
Other Languages Available: Cantonese and Mandarin.

SEN Support: We adopt Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), the only
researched intervention that shows a portion of children with ASD can
become indistinguishable from their peers following intensive treatment
from a young age. SEN Support: Our programmes are run by highly qualified therapists
and certified teachers who have received professional training in areas
associated with special education, early childhood education and
psychology. Our team includes applied behaviour analysts, an educational
psychologist, a pediatrician, a Chinese medicine practitioner, Special
Educational Needs (SEN) teachers, and a speech therapist.

Parents: We believe that parents play a critical role in the development
of their children. APS offers many channels of communication between
parents and teachers on a regular basis and upon parents’ request. In
addition, IEP meetings are held every 4 months to review and discuss the
learning plan with parents. Parents may also choose to conduct home
observation and help sessions provided by our senior therapists to handle
problems that might occur at home.
