Description: Harrow International School Shanghai is a co-educational
day school for students aged 2 to 18. Harrow Shanghai is the fourth
international school in the Harrow family of schools, joining Harrow School
and John Lyon School in London, and the Harrow schools in Bangkok,
Beijing and Hong Kong.

Curriculum: The teaching is based upon the English National Curriculum,
culminating in IGCSEs for Years 10 and 11, and A levels at Sixth Form
(Years 12 and 13).

leadership and challenge in all students.

Science laboratories, 25-metre swimming pool, Double-sized Sports Hall,
Playing field (football and rugby pitch), Roof-top running track, Multi-use
Early Years P.E Room, Rooftop gardens, Computing Suites, Art and Design
studios, Drama Studio, Music practice rooms, Lecture Theatre, Auditorium,
Medical centre, and a comprehensive and effective air filtration system.

Scholarships: The school provides merit-based financial awards for
students who are gifted in academic and extra-curricular pursuits, such
as Music, Sports, Drama and Art. The aim of the scholarships and the
bursaries is to enable the school to draw gifted students from all sections
of the international community, irrespective of their parents’ financial
circumstances. Scholarships and bursaries are available from Year 5.

Inspection: The School operates under an agreement with the Governors
of Harrow School in the UK. Two Governors from the Harrow School Board
of Governors in the UK are members of the Governing Body; they attend
its meetings and visit the School in Shanghai three times a year to ensure
quality control and guidance from the Harrow family.

Parents: The Friends of Harrow is an association of parents and teaching
staff that provides practical support for the School, as well as enabling
additional opportunities to enhance the educational experience for the
students. The association organises external speakers, work placements
and career fairs for students, as well as major charity fund-raising events.
